Haven Drugs in Medford, NY is looking for a friendly and reliable Pharmacy Cashier to join our team! Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers at the pharmacy counter with a positive, professional attitude
- Process cash, credit, and insurance-related transactions accurately at the point of sale
- Answer incoming calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate pharmacy staff
- Assist customers with over-the-counter (OTC) product locations and general questions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked front-end pharmacy area
- Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with administrative and clerical tasks as needed
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies, confidentiality standards, and HIPAA regulations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Prior cashier, retail, or customer service experience is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills and comfort handling cash transactions
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced pharmacy environment
- Dependable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Familiarity with pharmacy or healthcare settings is a bonus but not required
